Carefully selected materials
To help preserve the environment we all love to explore, we strive to use as many recycled materials as possible – without compromising on quality.
The fabrics are not just comfortable and functional; they’re also durable. That way, the garment will last longer, reducing your need to buy new clothes. And if you grow out of your BLÆST, you can pass it on to a friend, relative, or even a stranger through second-hand shops.
Care Tech
This is our revolutionary textile with a state-of-the-art two- or three-layer membrane. We use this fabric for our shell jackets and pants. Whether you’re tackling rugged terrains or enjoying a leisurely outdoor excursion, our fabric will keep you dry, comfortable, and ready for any adventure that comes your way.
Care Tech offers a balance between protection and breathability, providing optimal performance for outdoor activities. The textile is soft and has a waterproof rating of 20,000 mm and a breathability rating of 10,000 gm/24 hrs. The material is lightweight, flexible, and durable, and clothes made from this fabric offer city comfort and freedom of movement for active pursuits.
Sorona® Aura insulation
This is a lightweight down-like insulation from Sorona®, a brand known for their unique combination of comfort, durability, and versatility. The insulation will keep you warm with less filling, making the garments very comfortable to wear. In addition, it promotes airflow for improved breathability and ventilation.
Down insulation
When temperatures drop below zero, nothing is better than a soft and comfortable down jacket. We use a 90/10 down to feather ratio, and the fluffiness of the down helps create thousands of air pockets that trap and retain heat. The down we use is RDS-certified.
Polartec® Thermal Pro™
One of the latest additions to our product range, is our sherpa hat and fleece jackets. These products are crafted using the durable performance fabric Thermal Pro Shearling from Polartec®. With its unique knitting technique, the material provides warmth without adding weight. The garment is also breathable.
Primaloft®
Known for their lightweight, yet highly insulating material, Primaloft® is versatile with exceptional properties. It is durable and designed to last, ensuring that your product can be worn for years to come.
In addition, they use ultra-fine fibres designed to trap warmth without limiting the garment’s ability to breathe. These fibres are also thinner than human hair, which makes the material soft and comfortable to wear.
Sorona® Agile
Introducing this textile in our collection is a significant step forward in our commitment to responsible and conscious fashion.
Even though the styles we’ve created using Sorona® are not waterproof, the textile offers a unique combination of comfort, durability, and versatility. It is created using a bio-based polymer derived from renewable resources.
We use this material in the Folven range for men, as well as the Hjelle styles for women.
Power Grid™ by Polartec®
Another recent addition to our materials list is the Power Grid™ fleece fabric from Polartec®.
Their patented grid construction knit offers the product features you’d expect from a technical fleece, but they use less fabric. Polartec® Power Grid™ is a high-performance material that’s both isolating and breathable while also being lightweight and durable. It is also recycled.
This fabric is used for our Bud styles for men.
