Terms and conditions

On this page, you’ll find the terms and conditions that apply to all use and sales on the BLÆST website. We follow the Norwegian Consumer Authority’s standard sales conditions for consumer purchases of goods over the internet. It’s your responsibility as a consumer to familiarise yourself with these terms, and by using our website you accept the conditions and our privacy policy.

The agreement

These sales conditions are, together with your order confirmation and any specially agreed conditions, the purchase contract between you and BLÆST. In addition, we strive to follow relevant statutory provisions that regulate the purchase of goods between a trader (us) and a consumer (you).

The contract is binding as soon as your order is sent to us, but you still have the right to return or cancel your purchase (see more info below).

If there is a conflict, this agreement is valid unless it’s not in line with mandatory legislations.

Who’s who?

We – the seller: In these terms and conditions, BLÆST is the seller. We are a part of Aalesund Protective Wear (AAPW), and when we use terms like “we” and “us”, this also includes AAPW.

You – the buyer: The buyer of a product is the person who complete an order. When we refer to “you”, it means you as a visitor of our website and customer.

Please note that parental or guardian consent is required for customers under the age of 18.

Prices – what are you paying for?

The prices listed on our products is the total price you have to pay, and it includes taxes and the cost of shipping your parcel from our warehouse. It does not include the cost of returning a product.

Payment

We want to offer you the best payment options based on where you’re located, and to do this we’ve partnered with Adyen. This means that you’ll see a list of payment options provided by Adyen, and then you can choose the one that suits you best.

Since we are using Adyen and its partners as a payment solution, we’ll have to share some of your personal information with them, like name, order information, and the information you add during check-out. Your data will be handled with care, and you can read more about what information Adyen processes and how in their privacy policy.

If you want to know more about how we process and store your information, you can read our privacy policy.

Delivery and shipping

Shipping

Our goal is to ship your order as soon as possible, and orders placed before 12.00 noon (CET) on weekdays will normally be sent the same day. Delivery time is estimated to 1-3 days in Norway and 2-4 days internationally. Please note that this is an estimate only, and external circumstances may affect delivery time (like bank holidays or periods when shipping is in high demand, like Black Friday).

As we ship on a DDP (delivery duty paid) basis, all custom duties and local tax (VAT) will be included in the amount you pay for your order.

Delivery, product risk and delay

We consider an order delivered once you take possession of it, for instance by picking it up at your local post office. We retain the risk for the products during shipping, but this is transferred to you once the items are delivered. This means that if something happens to the parcel or product after that, we are not liable unless it’s a valid claim.

If your delivery is delayed, we will notify as soon as we are aware of any issues. Should this delay last unreasonably long, you may have the right to cancel the order.

You can read more about shipping on our page dedicated to that topic.

Inspecting the products

When you receive your order, you should inspect the products as soon as possible to ensure that you’ve received the correct items. You should also inspect the products to ensure they’ve not been damaged during shipping or that they don’t have any defects.

You can also try on the products in an appropriate manner to make sure they fit and live up to your expectations. If something doesn’t feel quite right or you change your mind, you have the right to cancel your order (see section below). If the testing goes beyond what is reasonable, however, you will be responsible for the reduction of the products value.

Returns and exchanges

If you order a style from our web shop, you have 14 days to return it, but we do not offer direct exchanges. So, if you want the product in a different size or colour, you’ll have to return the one you ordered and place a new order for the new variant.

Please note that we do not accept returns if the product is damaged or lack original labels and tags. We also reserve the right to not accept your return if you ship the parcel after the 14-day return window.

You can read more about how to return a product on our page dedicated to this topic.

Right to cancel

In accordance with the Cancellation Act, you have the right to cancel your order unless the contract is exempt from this right. To cancel your order, you must do so within 14 days after the start of the cancellation period, which beings the day after you’ve received your order*. Those 14 days include all calendar days, unless the period ends on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday. If that is the case, the period will be extended until the next business day.

We will pay back the purchase sum within two weeks after we receive information that you want to cancel your purchase, but we reserve the right to hold off on making the payment until we know that the product is sent back to us.

* If you receive your order in several deliveries, the cancellation period begin on the day after the final delivery is received.

Defective items – what are your rights?

If you receive a faulty item or a product with a defect that turns up after use, you should file a claim within a reasonable time after the defect was discovered (or should have been discovered) – but no later than two years after you got the item.

We will process your claim, and if it is valid, you will get a replacement product or get your money back if we don’t have the same/similar product in stock.

Please note that there is a difference between defects due to production errors and products that are simply worn down. We reserve the right to not accept a claim if the issue is a result of use, not following the correct washing instructions, and similar.

If you file a claim that we do not accept, and a conflict occurs, you have the right to contact the Consumer Authority for mediation. You can find their contact info on the Consumer Authority's website.
