BLÆST is a simple, fresh idea: stylish clothes, practical for any activity. Hiking alpine peaks or sipping a flat-white outside a coffee shop. Our designs let you do both. We make high-quality clothes that last for decades; styles that can tough it out in all kinds of weather, whatever the season. Rain or shine.
Our story began in Bergen in 2005. This region in Western Norway is known for its gloomy and rainy days, making waterproof outerwear some of the most important styles in the local’s wardrobes. But at that time, the coats and jackets on the market didn’t make us feel like we could conquer the weather in style. And that’s why BLÆST was started.
Now, we’ve moved up further up the coast, to the Art-Nouveau town of Ålesund. The climate is similar to that of Bergen, but the wind pushes us to reach new heights and new designs.
Here, we are growing from strength to strength, expanding our range, boldly bringing BLÆST to the world.

The word ‘blæst’ is a Norwegian expression that describes ‘a gust’ or ‘a strong breeze’. It is a force of nature: elemental, raw, and unexpected. Wearing our clothes, you’ll weather any ‘blæst’ and stand against any storm. But more than protection, our clothes are the ‘blæst’ at your back, pushing you to live like the wind: free and strong.
