Proof that hard work pays off
Re-designing a new website takes a lot of effort (and a solid team, but we’ll get back to that in a minute). The website was designed in close collaboration between our in-house team and Neue Design Studio (Kurppa Hosk). Together. we’ve discussed how to make our brand identity come to life in the digital sphere, from grid structure and menu setup to how we wanted to present our products and editorial content. But we’ve also spent hours on the details we hope you (our customers) never think about: colours, font sizes, button placements, and other elements that will ensure you have a smooth shopping experience!
We were so proud to learn that we were nominated in the category ‘digital design’ at Visuelt, as that in itself is a big deal. But to WIN? To say we are stoked would be an understatement.
We didn’t want our online store to be ‘just another web shop.’ In addition to selling products, we wanted to create a digital experience of our brand. When using elements like typography, imagery and unexpected design elements, the strong visual identity helps show off our personality.
Marielle Benedicte Blaalid, Graphic Designer & AD.
The jury’s thoughts:
With a web shop that balances functionality and brand expressions in an impressive way, BLÆST position themselves as someone who shakes the status quo in the outerwear category. The clean and modern design creates a seamless shopping experience, while typography, images, videos, and unexpected visual details gives the online store a strong and distinct personality. The jury was impressed with the holistic approach – a minimalistic, yet characteristic design that doesn’t just sell products, it helps position BLÆST as a brand.
